On December 15, actress-director Gina Alajar remarked that she wasn’t closing herself from falling in love but wasn’t expecting to find love.
At the media event for ‘When I Met You in Tokyo,’ which LionhearTV covered, Alajar highlighted that people her age still have a colorful life, noting that she would still open herself up to the possibility of finding love.
“Hindi naman sarado, kaya lang hindi naman ine-expect, hindi naman inaantay. But it’s so nice after ng Monday First Screening, ito, I Met You in Tokyo, a story about senior citizens, ibig sabihin lang kahit na senior citizens na, makulay pa rin ang buhay ng mga sinasabi mong thunders. So maaaring mas makulay ang buhay nila kaysa sa kabataan.”
She also considered working with Christopher de Leon and Vilma Santos as a memorable moment in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry.
“Ang pakiramdam ko lang natutuwa ako kasi after so many years, napasama ako–nakasama ko ulit sa pelikula si Christopher na ang tagal-tagal ko ng nakakasama talaga. At mas lalong lalo nang mas matagal ko ng hindi nakasama si Ate V. Palagay ko parang Imee Marcos ka pa non, noong huli tayong magkasama, hindi pareho pa rin naman kaming bata.”
She then discussed what it was like working with other stars in ‘When I Met You in Tokyo,’ especially Lotlot de Leon.
“So kahit na wala tayong eksena, it was an honor for me to be handpicked by Ms. Reggie Magno, to essay the role of Christopher’s ex-wife. And it was also a great time to share the screen with Lotlot de Leon na ang tagal ko ng hindi na nakasama, bata ka pa non, bata pa rin si Matet, and she has grown to be a great actress, and I’m just so happy and blessed that I was able to share the screen with you.”
She then expressed her hopes of having future projects with Santos.
“And the scene with you Christopher– kahit na phone conversation, and Ate V, I hope, we’ll share the screen, we’ll share screen na together. Promise mo, ha.”
