On December 13, Net25 Star Center Artist Management head Eric Quizon clarified that StarKada artists can work with stars from other networks.
At the media event for ‘Road to StarKada,’ which LionhearTV covered, Quizon remarked that Net25 wanted to give the young stars a chance to work with seasoned actors.
“We are allowing the kids to work outside kasi like I said, bakit hindi ko papayagan ang isa sa kanila na makatrabaho si Marian Rivera or si Coco. I’ve said this before, why would I let them miss that opportunity na makatrabaho ‘yung mga magagaling nating artista.”
He noted that the network is still in the process of creating its own shows for StarKada stars.
“Let’s face it, Net25 is a network that is– yes we are going to have our own shows, but right now, wala pa kami talagang mga shows na pagsasalangan ng mga bata. Kaya nag-iisip kami ngayon kung saan namin sila ilalagay. At impisa na nga ito. Like I said, we want to introduce them first to the public na mayroon kaming bago at magagaling na mga bata.”
He hinted at plans for a variety magazine show and a teleserye or anthology in the future for Starkada stars.
“Pangalawa, like I said, may mga plano ang Net25. Pagkatapos nitong parang reality based show na Road to Starkada, magkakaroon tayo ng parang variety magazine show for them na to showcase their talents.
“At habang hindi pa nangyayari ang mga yan, if there are other companies or if they have the chance to work outside bakit hindi. Like what I said, bakit natin hahayaan ‘yung opportunity na ‘yan na mawala.”
He then cited that some Starkadas auditioned for indie projects, and four landed roles.
“So right now, nag-aaudition sila. They have an audition for an indie movie, and four of them got accepted and they are a part of an indie movie. So sayang ‘yun di ba? Kapag the more, kagaya ng sinabi nga nila, practice makes perfect. Naniniwala ako diyan. Kapag hindi mo pwedeng sabihin na I’m going to wing it.
He also discussed his goal of building confidence among the young stars by allowing them to work with artists from other networks.
Para ma-experience nila at the same time magkaroon sila ng confidence at siyempre at the end of the day, ang titignan mo ay body of work.
Aside from doing teleseryes, Quizon highlighted how Net25 intends to create a music label to help showcase the musical talents of their young artists.
So we are preparing that for 2024.”
