In the aftermath of the recent KathNiel breakup revelation, Cristy Fermin has addressed accusations of dishonesty hurled at her by Karla Estrada, the mother of Daniel Padilla.
During her show ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ Fermin expressed her sentiments about finding herself in a precarious position alongside Ogie Diaz regarding the disclosure of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla’s separation. She underscored her commitment to not making statements without proper evidence or complete information.
Fermin unveiled on November 30 that the KathNiel couple had already been apart for an extended period, a revelation later confirmed by Kathryn. She acknowledged the criticisms from KathNiel supporters, empathizing with their emotional connection to the artists.
However, Fermin directed her disappointment at Karla Estrada, emphasizing the decades she has invested in building her credibility in the industry. She lamented the impact of being portrayed as a liar by one person in an instant.
“Ngayon lumabas na ang katotohanan. Ano ang aking aasahan? Dapat dito ay natututo siyang tumanggap ng kamalian. Hindi ako humihingi ng anumang pagdidispensa mula kay Karla Estrada, kahit sa mga KathNiel, lawakan n’yo lamang po ang inyong isip, puso at paghusga sa mga bagay-bagay habang hindi n’yo pa nalilinawan ang lahat ng pangyayari,” she asserted.
On November 24, Karla Estrada refuted Fermin’s report, denying that she confirmed the breakup between her son, Daniel Padilla, and longtime girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo.
Karla dismissed the report as untrue on her official Facebook page, emphasizing her hands-off approach to her children’s personal lives.
