On December 19, actress Cherry Pie Picache talked about the state of her heart.
At the media conference for ‘Firefly,’ which LionhearTV covered, Picache seemingly confirmed her split with actor Edu Manzano, citing how they remain good friends.
“Di ba sa edad kong to ngayon, I cannot, I cannot depend my happiness on someone–somebody else. Besides, dapat din buo ako or whatever, or kumpleto ako kung magmamahal ako di ba? Ulit.
“No, we’re [very] good friends. He’s a very good person. We’re [very] good friends. You know, we will always love each other. Ayun.”
She then remarked that despite not being together, they would still love each other.
“Oo naman, I think we’re okay naman. I think we will always love each other, and we’re friends.”
As for finding another love, Picache maintained that she remains open to discovering romance again.
“Another love? Oo naman, oo naman ba’t hindi. Pero, habang wala, maging masaya ka sa sarili mo.”
However, she highlighted the value of focusing on self-love.
“Lalo na after ng pandemic, di ba ‘yung self-love mo, hindi mo na pwedeng iaasa ‘yung kaligayahan mo oh ‘yung kabuluhan mo bilang tao sa ibang tao.
“Nasasayo, and ako personally, I cannot complain, God has been blessing me so much. Tapos tayo, as tayo. Di ba, ‘yung magmahalan na lang tayo, magtulungan di ba? We’ve learned so much from the pandemic.
Picache and Manzano dated 20 years ago. According to reports, they recently rekindled their romance in 2020 after working together in the Kapamilya series, ‘Marry Me Marry You.’ However, rumors surfaced about their breakup months after the renewed relationship.
As for ‘Firefly,’ the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 movie from GMA Public Affairs stars Alessandra de Rossi, Euwann Mikaell, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Yayo Aguila, Max Collins, and Cherry Pie Picache with a special participation from Dingdong Dantes.
