On November 25, new Vivamax star Calvin Reyes reacted to their director calling him the ‘male Jaclyn Jose.’
At the media event for ‘Haslers,’ which LionhearTV covered, director Jose Abdel Langit compared Reyes’ depth in acting in one scene to the award-winning actress Jaclyn Jose.
“So noong una naming ginagawa ‘yung eksena niya, tinutukan ko siya, and then ‘yung ginawa namin niya sa lamay, you will see a different Calvin. Kung mayroong lalaking Jaclyn Jose, siya ‘yun. He’s good, it’s not an exageration, pagkatapos ni Calvin doon sa lamay, noong pagpasok ng bangkay– you should see him there, that quietness, that sincerity, makikita mo lahat, sa mata sa boses, sa trabaho niya ‘yun.”
Reyes responded to the unexpected praise he got from their director.
So thank you Direk.
“Nakita ko po siya noong as a talent, pero hindi po kami nagkasama sa eksena before.”
When asked what he would do if he met Jose, Reyes said he would ask for advice about his career.
He then discussed how he pulled his emotional depth for his character in the upcoming Vivamax movie.
