During the Christmas week, the Kapuso action-drama series ‘Black Rider’ achieved its narrowest rating gap against its rival Kapamilya action-drama teleserye, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ).’
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Black Rider’ recorded its smallest difference in ratings compared to the leading FPJBQ.
On Wednesday, December 27, the series starring Ruru Madrid garnered a rating of 12.5 percent, just 0.2 percent below FPJBQ’s 12.7 percent. This represents the slimmest margin since ‘Black Rider’ premiered on November 6.
Before this, ‘Black Rider’ consistently maintained a close margin against FPJBQ, hovering slightly above one percent, a notable shift from previous weeks where FPJBQ held a lead of over 2 percent.
On Christmas Day, December 25, ‘Black Rider’ secured a rating of 9.3 percent, 1.1 percent less than FPJBQ’s 10.4 percent. The following day, Tuesday, December 26, saw an improvement to 10.9 percent for ‘Black Rider,’ but FPJBQ also rose, achieving a rating of 13.9 percent.
On Thursday, December 27, ‘Black Rider’ once again closed the gap, recording a rating of 12.5 percent, 1.3 percent lower than its competitor, FPJBQ, which secured a 13.8 percent rating.
The question remains: Can ‘Black Rider’ maintain this close rating margin against FPJBQ, or will the latter regain a significant lead as the new year begins?
