A rising talent seems to be having trouble in creating a mark in a new field of entertainment she just ventured into, but blame could be all hers.
As the entire planet moves into full recovery from the debilitating impact of the pandemic, opportunities grow for everyone. That’s true for the entertainment scene, which has made leaps and bounds of progress, since going to a standstill, more than three years ago. In the local scene, proof can be observed in the return of moviegoers to cinemas, as well as the growth in number of new titles getting produced. This same exact pattern can be seen in the musical and theater field, as live shows continue to return.
Alongside such a comeback, is the arrival of new talents to the scene, aspirants whose thirst for exploring new adventures in their careers, may be the key to ensuring future of local theater. That promise was surely strong in a rising talent, whose popularity was already impressive, before hopping on her first musical adventure. Many can say this young star’s fame conveniently placed her among top picks to star in a musical based on a well-loved material; hence her selection did not come at all surprising.
It is not hard to miss the attention her management has been giving to this rising star, even though many would argue more others in her generation and batch, are far more deserving of the same big breaks she has been enjoying. That is perhaps one of the main reasons, why alongside her legion of supporters, the number of her detractors and bashers has also notably swelled in the past few years.
A recent phenomenal hit made her the subject of online insults, mockery, and bashing, which may be just an unfortunate consequence of her inexperience in the field. Comments, mostly negative, allude almost only about her “horrible acting’. The overwhelming acclaims her co-stars received also seem to be enough proof, she was really lagging behind the rest of the cast, by mile. That said, blessings continue to pour for this truly lucky star.
That luck, sadly, turned out to be not enough to allow her make a mark on her first try in theater. One of her directors called her out for failing to catch up with the rest of the cast, and being a slacker during rehearsals. A major problem raised involving her is her apparent laziness to memorize her parts in the play. For such reasons, she reportedly got fired. Her popularity and reportedly ‘diva attitude’ failed to save her from such an expulsion.
