Taking to her Instagram account, Manalo clarified the nature of her relationship with Gomez, emphasizing that they are friends and co-workers. She revealed that the leaked conversation primarily centered around a Christmas gift from Gomez, intended for her before she left for the airport.
Expressing her disappointment at the unauthorized exposure of their private discussion, Manalo claimed that specific portions of the conversation were allegedly omitted to construct “malicious insinuations.”
The actress conveyed that these baseless accusations were causing distress to both her and her loved ones.
Manalo expressed her desire for the controversy to subside soon, enabling her to enjoy the remaining time with her family in Japan.
Encouraging everyone to promote love and truth during the holiday season, she concluded her statement by extending Merry Christmas wishes to all.

In a previous statement, Rob Gomez disclosed that his phone was taken without consent, shedding light on the circumstances surrounding the leaked conversation. The leaked exchange involving Manalo and Gomez has triggered discussions and speculations online, particularly given Manalo’s current relationship with Senator Sherwin Gatchalian.
Last month, she celebrated her 37th birthday in Malacañang with Senator Gatchalian. Before venturing into showbiz, Manalo held the title of Binibining Pilipinas Universe in 2009.
