On November 19, Kapuso actress Beauty Gonzalez admitted that it was tiring to portray the kontrabida role in ‘Stolen Life.’
At the media event for the Kapuso Mall Shows in Cebu for the Lapu-Lapu City Festival, which LionhearTV covered, Gonzalez noted despite the exhausting experience of portraying Farrah in the series, she still enjoyed the character because of the people around her.
“It’s exhausting talaga kaya after every take tumatawa ako. I mean, it’s [important] that the production is supporting you [also], and your whole cast [also] para balanse lang, and [also] my family. My family helps me a lot.
“But it’s tiring, you know, it’s part of my job, and I love my job. I really love exploring being a kontrabida also.”
She also remarked on the value of having balance in her career, highlighting season 2 of her sitcom with Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr.
“Balanse lang, now kontrabida, next project naman I’m doing a season 2 with Senator Bong na comedy naman para balanse ‘yung utak at buhay ko. Yeah, it’s exhausting but it’s fun.”
Aside from her role in the series, Gonzalez also talked about the behind-the-scenes planning involved in her catfight scenes with her co-star Carla Abellana.
“Marami, marami talaga and we talk about it, and I always tell her na, ako gusto ko totohanan kasi hindi ko talaga kaya ‘yung fake, but alalay lang kasi kapag masampal mo ko, hindi ko na maalala linya ko after.
“But we really plan it a lot, and I love working with actors like that–they are open to doing it, kasi mas natural. And being an actress, you want to be mas sincere, mas near the truth, mas maganda– people will feel it.”
As for their series, Stolen Life stars Gabby Concepcion, Beauty Gonzalez, and Carla Abellana.
