Cristy Fermin recently expressed her sympathy for actress Andrea Brillantes, who has become the target of online criticism from netizens in the aftermath of the KathNiel (Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla) breakup.
Fermin, on her show ‘Cristy Ferminute,’ shared her concern for Andrea, acknowledging the unjust and hurtful branding she has been subjected to.
Fermin shed light on the baseless allegations circulating online, suggesting that Andrea Brillantes hails from a different location and is unfairly being compared to others. The entertainment commentator highlighted the lack of factual basis for these claims, emphasizing the distress they may cause the young actress.
In addition, Fermin addressed the cruel comparisons being drawn, linking Andrea’s alleged itchiness to her supposed birthplace and perpetuating unfounded stereotypes.
“Nakakaloka naman ‘to… grabe.
She expressed that Andrea is unfairly labeled with various names, creating hurtful narratives without any merit.
Wala pong matutuwa sa ganyang klase,” Fermin stated during her show.
Fermin also pointed out that deriving enjoyment from tarnishing someone’s personal image is not a sentiment shared by anyone willingly. She stressed that personal attacks, which damage one’s reputation, bring no benefit to anyone involved.
Meanwhile, despite the online backlash, Andrea Brillantes has chosen to remain silent and seemingly unaffected by the negative comments, as reported by Romel Chika. Fermin concluded by emphasizing the disheartening nature of witnessing someone’s image being unjustly tarnished and ridiculed, underlining that no one finds joy in such personal attacks.
