During the grand media conference for their upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) film ‘Family of Two’ at the Novotel Hotel in Quezon City on December 3, Sharon Cuneta and Alden Richards showcased their camaraderie and enthusiasm for the project.
Sharon Cuneta, marking her return to MMFF after her appearance in ‘Mano Po 6’ in 2009, joined forces with Alden Richards, whose last MMFF venture was ‘My Bebe Love: Kilig Pa More’ alongside Maine Mendoza, Vic Sotto, and Aiai delas Alas.
Expressing her fondness for wholesome movies, Cuneta emphasized her excitement for ‘Family of Two,’ a film that received a G rating from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
Director Nuel Naval and writer Mel del Rosario shared that Cuneta was the first choice for the cast, fulfilling the desire of Cineko Productions head Enrico Roque to create a movie specifically for the iconic actress.
Upon Cuneta’s approval, the team successfully secured Alden Richards for the film. Richards disclosed that he rearranged his schedule to accommodate this promising movie collaboration.
During the conference, Richards became emotional as he discussed the film’s theme of expressing love to parents. Drawing from his personal experience of losing his mother in 2008, the actor expressed regret for not demonstrating enough love and appreciation while she was still alive.
