On December 18, Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards addressed whether he would be open to working with Maine Mendoza again.
At Alden Richard’s Thanksgiving Party, which LionhearTV attended, the Kapuso actor surmised that Mendoza was currently focusing on her family life after tying the knot with Arjo Atayde.
“Parang si Maine po kasi, based on how I– hindi na rin po talaga kami kasi nakakapag usap ng madalas. And hindi na rin po ako masyadong nakakanood ng TV, but now, right now, as I can see, mas okay si Maine na mag-settled sa family life niya. And we respect that. And ako we respect that as well.”
He then discussed whether he reached out to Mendoza during her nuptials.
“Yes, I did, I did, opo. Nagkataon lang po na mayroon po tayong schedule kaya hindi po tayo nakapunta. Tsaka ‘yun po ‘yung time na nagka-landslide sa Baguio, and then, pero I wished her well.”
Richards and Mendoza became a phenomenal love team known as ‘AlDub’ during their stint on the GMA Network noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ in 2015.
As for future projects, Richards revealed he has a potential futuristic drama with Kapamilya actress-host Anne Curtis-Smith.
“Sa ngayon, wala po, mayroon pong niluluto for Anne Curtis and me. Medyo ano po drama po na futuristic ‘yung concept. Parang Direk Irene Villamor din po. Parang next year po, tatapusin lang po ni Anne ‘yung film niya with Direk Erik Matti.
“GMA Public Affairs po, parang NAPA po ‘yung mapro-produce. Parang alam niya na rin po kasi noong nagkausap kami ni Anne Alam na rin niya po. ‘Yung mga projects niya.”
As for his recent projects, Alden Richards stars in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 entry ‘Family of Two.’
He also has an upcoming Kapuso series, Pulang Araw, with Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.
He also has an upcoming directorial project with star Heaven Peralejo, ‘Out of Order’ as its working title.
