Kapuso actor and host of ‘Eat Bulaga’, Yasser Marta, officially confirmed the end of his communication with actress Kate Valdez.
The revelation comes after Yasser openly discussed courting Kate in a June 2023 interview with Boy Abunda, sharing sweet photos on their social media accounts.
The two were even seen together at the GMA Gala 2023 in July.
During the recent Fast Talk episode on Tuesday, November 28, Yasser, accompanied by his friend and Eat Bulaga co-host Kimpoy Feliciano, faced questions from Boy Abunda. When asked about priorities between “Love or Family,” both Yasser and Kimpoy chose family. Subsequently, when questioned about “Girlfriend or Mom,” Yasser responded, “Sa ngayon Tito Boy, Nanay.”
Boy Abunda explored the connection between Yasser’s mother’s health and his separation from Kate Valdez. Yasser admitted that his mother had suffered a stroke, making it challenging to balance time between work and caring for her. He emphasized that time became a significant factor in his relationship with Kate.
Yasser expressed that he doesn’t blame anyone for the outcome of his relationship with Kate and highlighted that his current priority is taking care of his mother. Consequently, he and Kate are no longer in communication.
As of now, Yasser Marta continues to be visible as a host on the noontime show Eat Bulaga and stars in the GMA-Regal series ‘Lovers & Liars.’ Meanwhile, Kate Valdez is part of the cast of the upcoming Philippine adaptation of the popular Korean drama series ‘Shining Inheritance.’
