On September 19, Kapuso artist Will Ashley considered 2023 his year with the Kapuso Network.
At the media event for Regal Studio Presents’ 2nd anniversary, which LionHearTV covered, Ashley remarked how he noticed the influx of projects from GMA Network for 2023.
“Yes, I can say na this is my year po kasi sa loob po ng almost ten years ko sa showbiz, parang drineam ko po ito simula ng nag-start po ako. And ngayon, unti-unti, di ko po masasabi na sobra, na nakamit ko na ‘yung gusto ko talaga. Pero, unti-unti, marami na rin akong na-achieve. And thank you, to GMA and also to Regal.”
He then described the opportunities coming from GMA Network as a blessing.
“Tinetake ko po siya na siyempre parang ano pa rin po eh, parang step pa rin po siya for me. Ayun po blessing, I mean inspiration ko rin po siya to do better sa ibang mga project pa po.”
One of his notable projects for 2023 is ‘Unbreak My Heart.’ Ashley discussed his experience working with the mix of Kapuso and Kapamilya stars in the groundbreaking series.
“Marami po akong natutunan sa kanila, pero noong una po talaga kasi kinakabahan po talaga ako eh. Parang baguhan na artista noong pumasok ako sa Unbreak My Heart kasi bago sa akin ‘yung mga nakasama ko.
“Mga taga kabila, and hindi ako familiar, hindi ko po sila na-meet dati. Pero habang nagru-run naman ‘yung taping, nagiging komportable naman ako and also tinutulungan naman nila ako sa mga gagawin ko. Hindi naman po lahat, pero gina-guide naman po nila ako, kung ano ‘yung tama, kung ano ‘yun alam nila. And also sila Direk Manny Palo and Direk Dolly, gina-guide nila ako.”
As for his role in Regal Studios Presents, Ashley joins other Kapuso and Regal stars such as Lexi Gonzales, Yasser Mata, Dustin Yu, Shayne Sava, Will Ashley, Althea Ablan, Carlo San Juan, Miggs Cuaderno, Royce Cabrera, AZ Martinez, Larkin Castor, Lianne Valentin, and Brianna Bunagan during the celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the GMA Network and Regal collaboration.
