The special episode of the award-winning game show, featured players who are solo parents.
Vice Ganda imparted yet another inspiring advice for solo parents, last night, November 25, during an episode of Everybody Sing. The Kapamilya superstar comedian has notably already come across solo parents or widows and widowers on the show, and each time gave a message of comfort or piece of advice.
On last night’s episode (the first of two parts), Vice met widowed player, Dianne, who shared she lost her husband not more than years ago.
“More than a year pa lang since mawala si husband…” she shared, adding that she got left with a 2-year old child.
“I need to be tough. My baby does not deserve a sad mom” she added, sharing that the past year has been difficult.
Vice, as expected, seemed to have instantly understood what to say in that instance, and gave Dianne the words she must have been needing to hear.
“But you can be sad once in a while. You deserve to feel what you need to feel in order to cope and move forward” said the Kapamilya TV host.
“You can be sad and still be tough” he added.
Asked if she ever wished to see her husband again, so that she had someone to ease the burden of raising a child, Dianne gave a different reason.
”Hindi po sa dahil sa hirap, Meme, (kundi) dahil gusto na ma-experience nya, kasi we waited for the baby nang matagal na matagal” she said, revealing she and her late husband waited for many years to arrive.
“Sana nararanasan mo itong nararanasan ko ngayon” she said, referring to the tiring but rewarding and joyful experience of raising kids.
Hearing more details of Dianne’s story, Vice seemed to have understood how great a parent Dianne is bound to become. “I pray for your healing” he said to her, adding that he is convinced Dianne and her late husband are parents every kid will be blessed to have.
