Vice Ganda stirred up a social media storm with a series of tweets that many believe were a reaction to criticisms from veteran columnist Cristy Fermin.
The tweets featured a photo without a caption and a gibberish message.

The exchange originated on ‘It’s Showtime’ when Vice Ganda addressed a contestant with the same name as Cristy Fermin. “Kamusta ka Cristy? Anong pinagkakaabalahan mo bukod sa paggawa ng kasinungalingan?” Vice quipped.
In response, Cristy Fermin called out Vice for what she perceived as arrogance. “Isang araw darating sa iyo ang pagbaba mo, bababa ka sa pedestal, hindi pupuwedeng nandiyan ka habang panahon. May mga darating na mas magagaling sa iyo at matatabunan ka… Kami natutuwa na mayroong mga pinagpapala na katulad mo pero kapag ang hangin ng kayabangan at pagiging palalo ay pumapasok na sa ulo, kinakalos natin ‘yan,” Cristy commented.
“Vice Ganda hindi ka tunay na babae, lalaki ka… Nagpapanggap ka lang na babae,” she added.
While Vice Ganda’s subsequent tweets weren’t a direct response to Cristy Fermin, they heightened the online conversation. Many found amusement in Vice Ganda’s statements, considering them playful banter likely to irk Cristy even more.

Supporters of Vice defended him, noting that his comments weren’t explicitly targeted at anyone specific, while others highlighted Cristy Fermin’s history of criticizing Vice on her programs.
