On November 9, actress Rhen Escaño recounted her paranormal experience while filming ‘Marita.’
At the media conference for ‘Marita,’ which LionhearTV covered, Escaño narrated how she saw a woman in white passed by their crew while they were recording the promotional video for ‘Marita.’
“Mayroong one time, nagsho-shoot kami for promo, nasa loob kami ng theater, doon kami mismo nagsho-shoot, and empty as in lights off, nasa taas kami na part, walang ilaw sa baba tapos walang ring ilaw sa taas, tapos phone lang ang gamit namin, and then parang ‘yung ilaw nanggagaling sa mga open na pinto, and then– tapos, since na ganon, matapang naman ako, hindi ako matatakutin, and then may nakaputi sa baba, parang may dumaan lang na naka-white.”
To add to the terrifying experience, one of their filming crew saw the same ‘woman in white’ pass by while the crew were inside the theater set for their film.
“Ang weird noon, ‘yung kasama ko si Kuya Pau, ‘yung nagsho-shoot sa akin for promo, tumingin siya, sabay kami, so ibig sabihin hindi lang ako ‘yung nakakita, hindi lang ako ‘yung lumingon, at hindi lang ako namalikmata kasi same kami, same kami ng naging reaction. Sabi ko, ‘Nakita mo ‘yun?’ Sabi niya, oo.
Escaño responded to her scary encounter by suggesting to her filming crew, “So ‘yun tapos sinuggest ko, sa baba naman tayo para exciting.”
As for her role, Escaño cited the challenges she encountered in portraying the titular entity of the movie, ‘Marita.’
‘Marita’ stars Louise De Los Reyes and Rhen Escaño with Ashtine Olviga, Andrea Babiera, Yumi Garcia, Ethan David, Taneo Sebastian, Tess Dumpit-Michelena, Sara Joe, JD Axie, and Neil Tolentino.
Under the direction of Roni S Benaid, ‘Marita’ opens in cinemas on November 22.
