Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez has once again solidified her allegiance to ABS-CBN by renewing her exclusive contract with the network.
The contract signing ceremony, attended by key ABS-CBN executives including chairman Mark L. Lopez and CEO Carlo L. Katigbak, signifies an ongoing partnership between the iconic artist and the Kapamilya network.
Expressing her gratitude, Regine conveyed a sense of luck and appreciation for the continued trust and support she receives from ABS-CBN. The renowned singer acknowledged the challenges faced by the network, emphasizing the significance of undergoing difficulties to foster a deeper appreciation for their collective achievements.
Regine shared positive anecdotes from her tenure with ABS-CBN, highlighting the network’s dedicated efforts to provide employment opportunities amid the challenges they encountered. She reflected on the trying times, underscoring how they brought the Kapamilya community closer together.
“Kasi di ba minsan in life kailangan lang natin ma-experience yung mga experience na di masyadong maganda for us to appreciate what we have. I guess, at that time, mas lalo ko talagang naappreciate ang mga Kapamilya, especially yung mga bosses natin. Pinaglalaban talaga nila. they tried to provide jobs for everyone even though it’s difficult,” she shared.
Regarding her future endeavors, Regine disclosed that she is currently more immersed in singing, while contemplating a potential return to acting. Although she has not traditionally considered herself an actor, she expressed openness to compelling offers featuring engaging roles and captivating storylines.
She concluded by stating that if presented with an offer boasting an exceptional role and storyline, she might entertain the idea of returning to acting, possibly in the coming year.
“Pinag-iisipan ko pa kung gusto kong umarte hindi ako sure. I never really considered myself as an actor di ko alam bakit. Siguro if there’s an offer with a really really good role and a really really good story, yung mahirap ako mag no. You’ll never know, let’s see. Hopefully, next year.”
