On October 10, the Danish pop band Lukas Graham vocalist Lukas Forchhammer said he wanted to collaborate with British singer Adele in a ‘big love song.’
At the media event for their upcoming concert ‘Lukas Graham: Asia 2023,’ which LionhearTV covered, Forchhammer remarked that their collaboration would create a ‘sound the world need.’
“I think a big love song with Adele would be absolutely amazing. I think it would sound wonderful– and it’s a sound the world would need.”
Aside from his dream collaboration, Forchhammer also gave a piece of advice to aspiring singers about finding their niche in music.
“I think to young musicians and artists. I think [a lot of] people today are trying to copy someone else, and I think it’s a [really] [bad] way of becoming like a performing artist. What we have a lot as people is when we’re one hundred percent ourselves.
“So, I think everyone who wants to be a performing artist should practice their craft, practice their instruments, and their singing and performance. And try to become [more] unique in some sense. Find the niche and make it more niche-y.”
The Danish band Lukas Graham includes Lukas Forchhammer, Mark Falgren, and Magnus Larsson. They’ve released hit songs such as ‘7 Years’ and ‘Love Someone.’
When asked whether he feels the pressure of following the success of their hit songs, he responded, “So I can’t ever replicate a song like ‘7 Years.’ ‘7 Years’ is ‘7 Years,’ ‘Love Someone’ is ‘Love Someone,’ and I really enjoy that. I think artists that try and replicate their own successes, I think they really struggle to find peace.”
Their one-night concert happens on October 22 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Tickets to the concert are available via Ticketnet online with prices ranging from P4,925 for VIP, P4,175 for Orchestra, P4,070 for Loge, P3,655 for Balcony 1, and P3,105 for Balcony 2.
