The Claudine Barretto-led series failed to threaten the Kapamilya youth-oriented thriller’s strong leadership on its time slot, in the online concurrent viewership game.
Even before its November 20 debut, Kapuso series, Lovers/Liars has stirred a significant amount of attention among press people, as well as netizens. The series promised an intrigue-filled nightly habit, and it seems this early, it has already succeeded. But that does not seem the case to many primetime viewers, and certainly, to those who prefer watching through their streaming devices than seeing shows on their big TV monitors.
Through our live monitoring on YouTube and Facebook, where both Senior High and Lovers/Liars stream, we are able to see the movements of the two shows’ respective live concurrent viewers on aforementioned platforms.
Kapamilya primetime programs traditionally trump their Kapuso counterparts in this aspect, but it still came out surprsing that the premiere of the higly-anticipated Kapuso series, did not even hit 10,000 in combined concurrent viewers.
Senior High at opening credits logged approximately145,800 live viewers, based on the Kapamilya Online Live feed on both YouTube and Facebook. Lovers/Liars, meanwhile, drew a meager total of 6,500, which even fell further to just 3,500 at closing credits.
Senior High ended its stream with still more than 101,000 live concurrent viewers.
