Ogie Diaz, on the other hand, takes a jab at some politicians, saying, “Ang daming echoserong frog na politician na masaya daw sila sa paglaya ni de lima. Juice ko, sana naman nung nakakulong yung tao, may effort din coming from you. Kalokah.”

We shouldn’t be overjoyed. We should be enraged at such a travesty of justice foisted on Filipinos by an ex Davao City prosec who has admitted to planting evidence, @hotmanila told me. https://t.co/8T5QEx6T3O

We welcome the release of former Senator Leila Delima after her petition for bail was granted by a Muntinlupa Court. A victim of Duterte’s abuse of power, we admire her courage and fortitude. We hope for the speedy resolution of her remaining case.

It was confirmed by De Lima’s legal counsel, Atty. Boni Tacarardon, on Monday, November 13, that the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 206 approved the motion for reconsideration for De Lima’s bail petition, amounting to ₱300,000.
Senator De Lima was initially detained in 2017 for her alleged involvement in the illegal drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison, accusations she vehemently denied. The court acquitted her from one of the three drug cases in 2021, and in May 2023, she was also cleared of the second case.
In October, two state witnesses reportedly withdrew their testimonies against De Lima, citing a change of conscience.
