Award-winning writer Jerry Grácio has taken aim at showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin following her controversial remarks about Unkabogable Star and ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda on her show ‘Cristy Ferminute.’
Vice Ganda seemingly directed a quip at a contestant named “Cristy” during a recent segment of the popular noontime show.
“Kumusta ka, Cristy? Anong pinagkakaabalahan mo, Cristy, bukod sa paggawa ng mga kasinungalingan?” Vice Ganda humorously asked the contestant.
Cristy, perceiving that she was indirectly targeted despite the absence of a specific surname or direct reference, challenged Vice Ganda to be more direct with his comments. She argued that she wasn’t born yesterday, making it apparent that she was the subject of the comment.
Cristy urged Vice Ganda to speak plainly without using other people to retaliate, labeling him a “benggador” – someone who hides behind others to exact revenge.
In addition to these comments, Cristy went on to assert that Vice Ganda is not a real woman and accused him of pretending to be one. Her remarks on Vice Ganda’s gender identity were not only offensive but sparked criticism from members of the LGBTQIA+ community, including Jerry Grácio.
Atrasado ang utak ni Cristy Fermin, hindi na nakasabay sa mga pagbabagong panlipunan, tumanda nang walang pinagkatandaan.

In another post, Grácio expressed, “Cristy Fermin’s tirade is an attack, not just against Vice Ganda but against our trans sisters, & the whole LGBTQ+ community.”
