The Kapuso multimedia star last recorded a studio album in 2016, under Ivory Music.
After a long hiatus, Kapuso royalty, Jennylyn Mercado is back to doing showbiz in full swing! The Starstruck winner earlier announced a return to acting , and along with it, other engagements, including that involving her recording and singing career.
In a surprise move, however, Mercado is making her much-anticipated comeback via ABS-CBN’s music label, Star Music. The Kapuso star notably already worked with ABS-CBN’s film arm, Star Cinema, in 2016, via the film she topbilled alongside box office magnate, John Lloyd Cruz, Just the Three of Us. The film remains the actress’s biggest box office drawer, to date.
On her social media pages, Mercado shared the news about her upcoming album with Star Music.
“First meeting pa lang to discuss the songs super kinikilig na ako 😍 exciting to mga bessie! Talagang pinaghahandaan namin ng team ng Star Music para sa inyo ❤️ #comebackalbum, ” she told her followers, in a post that included a photo of her with Star Music people, including key personalities, Roxy Liquigan, the Star Music head, and Jonathan Manalo, the audio content chief.
Mercado is the voice behind popular hits, Kahit Sandali and Moments of Love. Alongside this recording comeback, she is likewise slated to make a return to teleserye in 2024.
