Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson took a moment to applaud his former girlfriend, Kim Chiu, for her exceptional performance in the digital series ‘Linlang,’ which recently concluded its run.
Anderson, along with many viewers, praised Chiu’s portrayal in the series alongside Paulo Avelino and JM de Guzman. He lauded Chiu as a hardworking individual, describing her as an inspiring and resilient performer.
“Nakakatuwa kasi ang naririnig ko ibang Kim ‘yung nakita nila, ibang JM. I’m happy for her because talagang ‘yun ‘yung…perfect word (for her) hard worker talaga ‘yan. Sobrang nakaka-inspire ‘yan,” Anderson shared during the contract signing event in ABS-CBN this afternoon.
Despite the positive feedback and fans’ eagerness to see them collaborate again, Anderson remained diplomatic about the possibility of reuniting with Chiu onscreen. He stated, “‘Di ko masasagot ‘yun. ‘Di ko alam. Kailangan natin sila makausap.”
‘Linlang,’ produced by ABS-CBN and Dreamscape, concluded its run last Thursday, consistently ranking high on Prime Video throughout its airing.
The former couple, Anderson and Chiu, first gained fame in 2006 when they participated in ‘Pinoy Big Brother,’ where Chiu emerged as the Big Winner. Their on-screen romance translated into a real-life relationship, resulting in collaborations such as ‘My Girl’ and ‘Tayong Dalawa.’
Reflecting on their early collaborations, Anderson reminisced, “Paglabas namin ng Bahay ni Kuya may ginawa kami ni Kim na ‘Love Spell,’ kami unang episode, ta’s pinasok kami sa isang teleserye, pinasok kami sa set. Basta pinalabas unang episode mataas rating.”
Although the couple went their separate ways in 2010, they reunited onscreen in 2017 for the show ‘Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin,’ much to the delight of their dedicated fans, known as Kimerald.
