Highly acclaimed action-drama series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ),’ and ‘Black Rider’ continue their intense battle for supremacy on the leaderboard.
According to the most recent Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ‘Black Rider’ is closing in on FPJBQ, posing a serious threat to the latter’s position in the ratings chart.
On Monday, November 13, FPJBQ secured a rating of 15.9 percent, maintaining a lead of 3.1 percent over Black Rider, which scored 12.8 percent.
The following day, Tuesday, November 14, the Kapamily action-drama teleserye maintained its strong position with a rating of 15.9 percent, once again outperforming Black Rider, which scored 11.9 percent, leading by 4 percent.
However, on Wednesday, November 15, FPJBQ experienced a slight decline, dropping to 14.7 percent and narrowing the gap against Black Rider to 1.9 percent at 12.8 percent.
On Thursday, November 16, the Coco Martin-led teleserye quickly rebounded, achieving a rating of 15.4 percent, expanding its lead against Black Rider to 3 percent at 12.4 percent.
Nevertheless, Black Rider made a strong comeback towards the end of the week, registering a rating of 13.5 percent and reducing FPJBQ’s lead to 1.1 percent at 14.6 percent.
The upward trend in Black Rider’s ratings since its pilot episode has significantly strengthened its position in the ongoing rivalry with its Kapamilya counterpart.
Additionally, the intermittent absence of FPJBQ on A2Z for several occasions per week is expected to intensify the competition between the two series. It wouldn’t be surprising if Black Rider secured its first victory against FPJBQ in the coming weeks.
