The top-rating Kapamilya action drama kept its place on top of the chart, and as the number one entertainment program, despite not airing on A2Z.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo remains the overall number one entertainment TV program on Wednesday, November 8, the first day the Coco Martin-starrer is not airing on A2Z. A2Z notably started airing the 48th season of the PBA Games, since November 5, a change that affects ABS-CBN’s primetime programming on A2Z, every Wednesday and Friday. That means, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, as well as Can’t Buy Me Love, Senior High, and The World of A Married Couple, won’t be airing on the Zoe Broadcasting Network-operated channel, every Wednesday and Friday.
Initially, there were doubts on whether TV5, alone, could sustain FPJ’s Batang Quiapo‘s lead in ratings, given that A2Z contributes an average of 5.0 people rating to the action-drama’s total ratings. But as reflected by the November 8 data from Nielsen Philippines, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo proved to be a national favorite, as it still emerged victorious on its timeslot, despite losing A2Z. The Coco Martin-led series fended off Ruru Madrid-led, Black Rider, 14.8 versus 13.1.
On top of this feat is TV5 claiming the top spot among entertainment programs, in terms of single channel ratings. With a people rating of 11.7, on TV5, alone, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, outdid Black Rider’s 10.5 on GMA Network. It is also worth-noting that the 11.7 FPJ’s Batang Quiapo registered, is the TV5’s highest people rating for an 8 PM show.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo, and the rest of ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup, resume airing on A2Z, every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
