The two Kapamilya shows seem to be duplicating each other’s success, ruling their respective timeslots in both TV ratings and online concurrent viewership games.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo pulled off yet another spectacular milestone in the online concurrent viewership game, last night, amid intensifying competition with its new rival show, Black Rider. On YouTube, alone, the Coco Martin-starrer, saw its live concurrent viewers on Kapamilya Online Live, soar past 493,000, a new high since the series piloted in February, this year.
Combined with Facebook, the figure goes even higher, peaking at at least 513,000, which is well-above the 501,000 recorded by the series on September 11, the day Maging Sino Ka Man debuted on the same time slot.
FPJ’s Batang Quiapo‘s resounding victory in the online concurrent viewership game pretty much reflects its winning streak in the TV ratings game, which remains unbroken despite the arrival of Ruru Madrid-starrer, Black Rider. It can be noted, previous Kapuso show, Maging Sino Ka Man, failed to score a single win versus FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.
Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano’s Can’t Buy Me Love, is similarly winning its bout versus its Kapuso counterpart, Love Before Sunrise, which still struggles to stretch its winning streak, despite the Kapamilya show’s non-airing on A2Z every Wednesday and Friday.
On Monday, November 13, the DonBelle series reclaimed leadership on its timeslot, with a people rating of 8.3, which is ahead of Love Before Sunrise‘s 7.5 (without delayed telecast). The Bea Alonzo and Dennis Trillo-headliner, bounced back on the following day, albeit slim advantage versus, Can’t Buy Me Love, 7.8 to 7.5.
As far as live concurrent viewership game goes, Love Before Sunrise, does not live stream full episodes on YouTube, although it seems it wil have a hard time catching up with the DonBelle series, which regularly peaks with more than 400,000 live concurrent viewers, on YouTube, alone. Yesterday, November 14, the episode saw a peak of 457, 716 viewers.
