‘Disney Princess: The Concert,’ presented by Disney Concerts and Wilbros Live, is set to captivate audiences in Manila, Cebu, and Davao this November.
The enchanting event will feature renowned Broadway stars performing iconic Disney songs that have become timeless classics.
A stellar lineup of Broadway artists, including Krysta Rodriguez, Anneliese van der Pol, Aisha Jackson, Steffanie Leigh, Adam J. Levy, and Benjamin Rauhala, will bring to life beloved tunes like Moana’s ‘How Far I’ll Go,’ Aladdin’s ‘A Whole New World,’ and Frozen’s ‘Let It Go.’
Krysta Rodriguez, celebrated for her roles in Spring Awakening, First Date, and NBC’s Smash, joins the ensemble alongside Anneliese van der Pol, known for her portrayal of Chelsea Daniels in Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven and the final actress to play Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast on Broadway in 2007.
Aisha Jackson, recognized for her recent appearance in Frozen: The Broadway Musical, made history as the first Black woman to play the role of Anna on Broadway. Steffanie Leigh, the original Mary Poppins on Broadway, and Adam J. Levy from Moulin Rouge will also contribute their extraordinary talents. Benjamin Rauhala, a trusted music director and collaborator in the Broadway community, completes the ensemble.
The concert promises a mesmerizing experience with Broadway-level sound, theatrical lighting, haze, and LED screens for animated visuals. While bringing the magic of Disney to the stage, the performers will also share behind-the-scenes stories from their Broadway experiences.
The production, running approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes with a 20-minute intermission, is recommended for a general audience. While the show is family-friendly, it is advised for ages 6 and up. Notably, the concert will not feature costumed Disney characters but will showcase Broadway performers appearing as themselves.
