Dennis Trillo recounts how Bea Alonzo would often remind him of their early days in showbiz

On November 18, Kapuso actor Dennis Trillo recounted how his Love Before Sunrise co-star Bea Alonzo would often remind him of their early days in showbiz.

At the media event for the Kapuso Mall Shows in Cebu for the Lapu-Lapu City Festival, which LionhearTV covered, Trillo narrated how he and Alonzo began their career in showbiz, citing how he observed his co-star evolve throughout the years.

“Siya nga nagpapaalala sa akin noong mga times na noon pa. Kasi noon talaga, noong nagsisimula, sobrang simple lang niya dati, naalala ko, sinasabay ko pa sila, mayroon akong kotse noon na nagwoworkshop kami tapos binababa ko lang sila somewhere, tapos ganyan talagang sobrang simple niya dati, kaya sobrang happy ako para sa kaniya ng makita ko ‘yung evolution niya bilang tao, sa career niya, at sa buhay niya.”

He also attested to seeing how Alonzo matured as an artist after 20 years.

“Siyempre, di mo maiiwasan ‘yung pagkailang. Maii-star struck ka dahil ngayon mo lang siya ulit nakita kasi dati sabay kami nag-simula so nakita ko talaga kung paano siya, kung paano siya nagsimula kung ano siya dati, and then noong nakita ko siya, kung paano siya nagprogress bilang artista, kung paano siya nag-mature bilang isang tao.”

He remarked that remembering how they grew in showbiz further motivates him as an artist.

“Nakakatuwa. And alam mo ‘yun, parang mas lalo kang ginanahan dahil nakita mo siya kung paano siya nag-grow eh, kung paano siya nag-mature bilang artista.”
