The spotlight is on Kapamilya star Daniel Padilla as he took to his Instagram story to share a behind-the-scenes glimpse of his girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo gearing up for a photoshoot for a lifestyle magazine.
Many speculate that this move is Daniel’s subtle way of dispelling rumors circulating about a supposed breakup between him and Kathryn.
Reports also surfaced regarding a conversation where Daniel allegedly addressed fans complimenting his girlfriend’s beauty, asserting himself against what he referred to as “fake news peddlers” spreading inaccurate information about the couple.
In a fan exchange on the Solid KathNiel page, Daniel reportedly responded affirmatively to a fan praising Kathryn’s beauty, stating, “I know.”
“break na sila kasi wild na si kathryn!” “bakit pumayag si daniel? break na siguro talaga sila!”

The initial speculation about a potential split was reportedly fueled by showbiz columnist and talent manager Ogie Diaz. According to Diaz’s sources, Daniel was allegedly meeting secretly with fellow Kapamilya star Andrea Brillantes, who had previously worked alongside Daniel and Kathryn in the remake of the series ‘Pangako Sa ‘Yo.’
The hashtag “OGIE DIAZ FAKE NEWS PEDDLERS” gained traction on social media, with supporters of KathNiel and Blythe jointly expressing their disapproval of Ogie’s claims.
In response, Ogie Diaz defended himself through a post, stating, “May naibalita lang kami na sinabi naman namin na di pa confirmed at sana di totoo, fake news peddler na raw kami. So pag tama ba kami, sasabitan nyo kami ng medalya?”
Meanwhile, Daniel Padilla seemed to downplay the issue on his Instagram story, suggesting that it’s nothing more than “wafakels” (fake).
As of now, there has been no official statement or response from the parties involved in the ongoing controversy.
