In ‘Sarap, ‘Di Ba?’ on November 4, Carmina Villarroel discussed her perspective on her children’s romantic relationships and how she provides guidance rather than interference.
Carmina is the proud mother of Mavy and Cassy Legaspi, who also co-host the show alongside her. When asked if she had ever intervened in her children’s love lives, Carmina emphasized that she wouldn’t classify it as meddling but rather as offering guidance and sharing her observations.
She stated, “I don’t want to say pakikialam. Ayokong isipin na nakikialam ako, kasi parang negative ‘yung word na ‘yun e. It’s more of feeling ko mas guidance and siguro ‘yung observation ko.”
As a mother, she highlighted the importance of guiding her children and being vigilant about their well-being. Carmina pointed out that her approach applies to both of her children and that she doesn’t hesitate to share her concerns if she perceives something negative.
She continued, “Siguro naman bilang mga magulang at mga nanay kayo, ay may mga karapatan tayo because we just want to guide them and you see everything.”
Carmina also addressed the scenario in which she might disapprove of one of her children’s romantic partners and wish for them to marry someone else. Mavy, her son, assured the audience that he wouldn’t put his mom in such a position and emphasized that it won’t happen.
The heartwarming moment concluded with Mavy and Cassy receiving a warm hug from their supportive mother, highlighting the strong bond between them.
