The Kapamilya romantic-drama series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love (CBML)’ swiftly bounced back after a temporary setback when it faced a one-day loss against its rival ‘Love Before Sunrise (LBS)’.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey ratings, CBML has reclaimed its leading position in its timeslot, surpassing LBS.
On Thursday, October 26, the DonBelle series secured an 8.0 percent rating, edging ahead of LBS at 7.8 percent by 0.2 percent. This rapid resurgence followed a previous day’s loss on Wednesday, October 25, where CBML posted a 7.3 percent rating, falling 0.4 percent behind LBS’ 7.7 percent.
The episode that marked the turnaround showcased Bingo’s (Donny Pangilinan) and Caroline’s (Belle Mariano) pursuit to uncover the true perpetrator behind Caroline’s kidnapping.
Since its premiere on October 16, the Kapamilya series has consistently dominated its timeslot, consistently outperforming its Kapuso rival, LBS. At the beginning of the week on Monday, October 23, CBML achieved a 7.7 percent rating, standing 0.6 percent higher than LBS’ 7.1 percent. The following day, Tuesday, October 24, CBML extended its lead to 1.2 percent, securing an 8.0 percent rating against LBS’ 6.8 percent.
Beyond its impressive television ratings, CBML also reigned in online viewership, maintaining an average of over 300,000 concurrent live views on ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube.
