On October 27, Kapuso actress Bea Alonzo revealed how she deals with burnout.
During the ‘Love Before Sunrise’ presscon at 1953 Kusina Leticia in Matina, Davao City which LionhearTV covered, Alonzo detailed her routine to unwind.
“Pero ‘yung burnout, I guess, ako kasi kapag nasa acting space ako that’s like my escape. It’s like reading a book or [watching] a movie for me or being on the beach. For me, that’s when I feel the most free.”
She then explained that her burnout was usually because of ‘outside pressures.’
“Ngayon, ‘yung burnout– nararamdaman ko– it’s not because of acting or [it] being tired because of the routine of my life. It’s more parang because of the outside pressures. Social media, and whatelse, maraming pang pressures sa trabaho namin.”
She then highlighted how traveling really helps her mental health and her career.
“So whenever I feel almost on the verge of a burnout, I travel, so planado na ‘yun sa taon ko. And I make sure na when I travel, talagang I get to see different places [that] I’ve never seen before, and I get to see more of the culture. So ‘yun, I [get to] savor the culture, I [get to] try different foods, I [get to] meet different people, so ‘yun, [that’s] how I deal with burnout.”
As for her co-stars, Alonzo commended Andrea Torres’ routine in maintaining her motivation as an actress.
“Bilib ako diyan kay Andrea kasi ang aga-aga niyang gumigising. I really commend her for being so in tuned with herself, and parang madali siyang nagme-meditate. Kasi I find it hard to do that. Super bilib ako sa kaniya. Even ‘yung insights niya about life it tells you that she’s so self assured, kasi ‘yung insights niya laging introspective hindi kung ano ‘yung nakikita niya. So I really– mas nakikilala ko siya.”
