While mourning the loss of her fiancée, a woman finds solace from her supposedly soon-to-be father-in-law and starts falling for him.
Vivamax Pantaxa Apple Dy plays the leading character, Abie, in “Tuhog”, a film by GB Sampedro that pairs her up with Arron Villaflor, who plays Michael, and Joko Diaz in the role of Roldan, Michael’s father.
Before Abie and Michael tie the knot, Michael must first go on a military mission. Abie obliges to Michael’s wish that she stays at the house of his father Roldan while he’s away to put his mind at ease. Roldan is also very happy to accommodate Abie as his way to make up for a longtime feud he’s had with his son.
Abie’s world shatters upon hearing that Michael’s battalion has been ambushed and everyone is presumed dead. She finds no more reason to stay at Roldan’s place. In fact, she finds no more reason to live. To make sure that she’s safe, Roldan insists that she stays.
In their grief, Abie and Roldan are drawn to each other until they are not just sharing a house, but a bed.
And then Michael returns.
It’s intriguing to see how Abie and Roldan deal with this shocking revelation. Being alive is a blessing, but could it also be a curse? Feel the rollercoaster of emotions in this tale of love, loss, and moving on.
