The dynamic on-screen partnership of veteran stars Star for all Seasons Vilma Santos and Christopher de Leon, has once again stirred the hearts of their devoted fans.
Their latest cinematic collaboration continues to showcase an extraordinary chemistry that transcends time, offering viewers a captivating glimpse of the timeless magic that defines their on-screen relationship.
In a recent interview, Vilma Santos, often referred to as Ate Vi, shared her thoughts on working with Christopher de Leon once more, revealing that despite their extensive history together, their recent project offered a fresh and unique experience.
Ate Vi, who has portrayed various roles opposite Christopher de Leon in their illustrious career, confessed, “Pag asawa ko siya sa movie, pakiramdam ko asawa ko talaga siya. I really don’t know how to explain it, eh. Nasa loob, eh.”
“Kaya siguro kapag nilabas mo, it’s natural, which I don’t understand where it’s coming from.
Reflecting on their journey as actors and the evolution of their working relationship, Vilma Santos reminisced about the playful moments they shared in the past, hinting at their growth and maturity as performers.
I’m really lucky to have Christopher de Leon being a big part of my career.”
“Sa 60 years, malaking part si Boyet sa buhay ko, sa career ko,” she added.
In their forthcoming film, ‘When I Met You in Tokyo,’ Ate Vi hinted at an intriguing love scene, describing it as a singular and memorable experience. The movie portrays a heartwarming love story between two Filipino workers living abroad, depicting a journey from friendship to love and underscoring the idea that love transcends age and societal boundaries.
