On September 15, Mega Star Sharon Cuneta clarified that she has no problem working with Gabby Concepcion.
During the media conference for the upcoming reunion concert ‘Dear Heart’ at Okada Manila, which LionhearTV covered, Cuneta explained that she was always open to working with Concepcion on a possible movie project.
“Never on my part, never on my part. In fact, it was always Gabby’s call. We’d always [have] several meetings with Star Cinema, and [then] things didn’t work out. I was always ready.”
She also noted that a possible movie project with Concepcion would depend on their dynamics during their reunion concert.
“And then, if [you’re] going to ask if magkakaroon kami ng movie after the concert, I think it will all depend on the dynamic [that we] will experience while doing the [concerts.] Kung magiging okay lahat ng flow, kung magkakasundo kami, kung walang problema, walang issues, walang hassle, walang stress, then there’s no reason for us not to do a movie.”
Cuneta then emphasized how much she values peace of mind between her and Concepcion.
“But at this points kasi in our lives parang mas importante ‘yung may peace na lang for the sake of our daughter.”
She also remarked that she would be working hard for the concert event since she’s the performer between them.
“Relax na relax lang ako ngayon. Wala malaki. Alam ko lang na magtra-trabaho talaga ako na kakanta ako. Pero in terms of preparation, hindi ako nagpre-prepare ng vocal gymnastics. Ano lang relax lang. Feel good lang, good vibes lang. Looking forward lang ako na mapasaya ‘yung audience. ‘Yun lang talaga ang gusto ko mapasaya ang audience, mapakilig, mapa-reminisce kayo.”

As for their upcoming concert event, The Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion concert titled ‘Dear Heart’ happens on October 27 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. They would also have a special VIP night at the Okada Grand Ballroom on October 30. The concert will also have a second leg going to Cebu on November 17.
