On September 15, Mega Star Sharon Cuneta alluded to what fans could expect with her upcoming concert event with Gabby Concepcion.
During the media conference for the upcoming reunion concert ‘Dear Heart’ at Okada Manila, which LionhearTV covered, Cuneta, while tightlipped on the songs she and Concepcion would perform, assured fans that they would see a high-quality production from their music event.
“The songs I would prefer for us to sing are songs we are going to sing, so I cannot annouce, because there’s a story. It’s not just parang, ‘Oh si Sharon-Gabby tumutong na parang nag-guest kami kay Kuya Germs hindi ganon.’
“It’s a real, honest-to-goodness concert, put together by Eloisa Matias, who has done Gary’s Gary Alive, Sharon My 40 years, I mean, these are experts, these are real expert people.”
She noted that the songs they would perform in ‘Dear Heart’ would induce nostalgia to their fans attending the concert.
“It’s songs that if you grew up with us, siyempre all the Gabby-Sharon fans, all our followers, have grown up with us, are parents also. It’s a trip down memory lane–it’s our story.
“And it’s going to be– it would be a thread, through it, it would be a story, it would have–memorable moments. If you know us [very] well, you would recall your teenage years and the movies [that] we made that made you love us. [This] is an honest-to-goodness concert.”
She also promised to have Concepcion’s back and support him throughout their concert event.
“I will not kumbaga, Gabby can expect me to have his back, I will work with him and the flow will be great na walang sapawan, aalalay ako kung kailangan, and kasi alam ninyo naman na comfort zone ko ‘yung stage, pwede nga akong humiga doon, matulog, simula Nene ako doon na ako eh. And at this stage, I know he’s not used to a big venue like this, much-less a full concert, so I will be there for him. I will make alalay.”
Aside from their duets, Cuneta hinted that she would have guest singers in one of her numbers.
“I will have a surprise din. Mayroon akong isang number doon na sabihin na lang natin na established singers ‘yung mga kasama ko.
“Doon lang ako totoong singer na singera. Ilalabas ko lahat ng natutunan ko kay Regine, kay Mama Ellen. Pero the whole show will be Gabby and Sharon.”
Mega Star Sharon Cuneta reunites with Gabby Concepcion for an upcoming concert titled ‘Dear Heart’ on October 27 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. They would also have a special VIP night at the Okada Grand Ballroom on October 30. The concert will also have a second leg going to Cebu on November 17.
