When you think about it, The Iron Heart, is that kind of show which can run indefinitely on air; you just have to introduce new criminal syndicate or ultra-villain for the lead character to solve.If our interpretation is right, it seems Sarah Labahti’s surprise (let’s not forget to mention, kickass) cameo appearance, on the top rating Kapamilya action-drama’s finale episode last night, October 13, is a hint that the series will continue with a new season, in the future. The lines uttered by Lahbati, who is Richard Gutierrez’s real wife, seems to be the very hint to that possibility.
“Nice meeting you, Apollo. I have a new mission, for you”, her unnamed character said, after ambushing Apollo with a surprise attack.
The Iron Heart ran on air from November 14, 2022 to October 13, this year. It has notably outlasted a number of rival shows on its time slot, including strong ratings contenders, Hearts on Ice and Royal Blood. Until its finale, it fended off new show, Love Before Sunrise, from dominating the time slot, allowing itself to end on a high note. Its highest people rating was logged at 9.4 on September 28, the most remarkable for any Kapamilya series airing on the second primetime slot, since the ABS-CBN shutdown.
If reports are correct, The Iron Heart will be seen next on top streaming platforms, which is pretty deserved given the sleek and sophisticated quality of the series.
