Controversial social media personality Rendon Labador has seemingly criticized ‘E.A.T’ host Joey De Leon. This comes after reports surfaced that the show’s management issued an apology to the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) concerning a joke made by De Leon involving a rope.
Labador’s remarks suggest that he was surprised to learn that Joey De Leon knows how to apologize. Labador further expressed the hope that De Leon would change his comedic style, as his jokes are no longer finding favor with the audience.
“Ngayon ko lang nalaman na marunong pa lang mag-sorry si Joey de Leon. Sana magbago ka na, kasi hindi na kami natutuwa sa mga biro mo. Huwag mo na uulitin,” Labador stated.
In another Instagram story, Labador mentioned, “Tinatanggap namin ang sorry mo pero dapat imbestigahan ka pa rin.”
It seems that Labador may not fully understand that the apology accepted by the MTRCB on September 25 came from the management of ‘E.A.T.,’ with Jenny Ferre, the Head of Creatives and Production Operations, leading the effort.
Many netizens are still awaiting a direct apology from Joey de Leon himself.
It’s worth noting that Labador previously told De Leon to be grateful that he wasn’t on Facebook anymore. Labador’s Facebook account was reportedly taken down following multiple reports.
