ABS-CBN has come full circle, rebounding after the challenging franchise renewal denial and the shutdown of its free-TV broadcast.
This turnaround is evident as their Primetime Bida programs now lead the ratings race, outperforming GMA Network’s Telebabad line-up, according to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey data.
In the primetime block’s four slots, ABS-CBN secured three wins, while GMA Network claimed one slot.
On Thursday, October 5, ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ)’ triumphed over ‘Maging Sino Ka Man (MSKM)’ with ratings of 16.8 percent and 10.3 percent, respectively. ‘The Iron Heart’ also secured a comfortable victory against ‘Love Before Sunrise (LBS)’ with ratings of 8.9 percent versus 7.9 percent. Late-night Asianovela ‘The World of the Married’ extended the primetime bida’s winning streak, outperforming ‘Jirisan’ with ratings of 3.5 percent and 2.5 percent, respectively. However, GMA Network claimed a win with ‘Unbreak My Heart’ surpassing ‘Senior High’ at 5.5 percent versus 4.8 percent.
On the following day, Friday, October 6, FPJBQ again dominated MSKM with ratings of 14.5 percent compared to 9.5 percent. ‘The Iron Heart’ continued its winning streak, tying with LBS at 7.1 percent. TWOTMC also maintained its timeslot victory, posting a rating of 2.9 percent against Jirisan’s 2.5 percent. However, ‘Amazing Earth’ gave GMA Network a win, beating ‘Senior High’ with ratings of 4.3 percent versus 3.4 percent.
Earlier in the week, ABS-CBN and GMA Network recorded tied scores, with each network securing two timeslot wins.
On Monday, October 2, FPJBQ outperformed MSKM with ratings of 16.5 percent versus 10.1 percent. ‘The Iron Heart’ also won its timeslot against ‘Love Before Sunrise,’ earning ratings of 8.0 percent versus 7.9 percent. ‘Unbreak My Heart’ brought a victory for the Kapuso network, surpassing ‘Senior High’ with ratings of 5.4 percent to 4.1 percent. The late-night Asianovela ‘Jirisan’ also won against ‘The World of a Married Couple,’ with ratings of 2.4 percent versus 2.1 percent.
On Tuesday, October 3, FPJBQ maintained its lead, overpowering MSKM with ratings of 15.9 percent compared to 11.3 percent. ‘The Iron Heart’ continued its winning streak against LBS, scoring 8.1 percent versus 8.0 percent. ‘Unbreak My Heart’ still won its timeslot against ‘Senior High’ at 6.0 percent versus 4.2 percent. Jirisan also extended its win for GMA Network, beating ‘TWOTMC’ with ratings of 2.7 percent versus 2.1 percent.
On Wednesday, October 4, FPJBQ continued to dominate MSKM with a rating of 15.5 percent versus 10.6 percent. However, ‘The Iron Heart’ recorded its first loss against ‘LBS,’ earning 8.6 percent compared to 8.3 percent. ‘Unbreak My Heart’ maintained its win against ‘Senior High’ with ratings of 6.1 percent versus 4.6 percent, and ‘Jirisan’ also won over ‘TWOTMC’ with ratings of 2.4 percent versus 1.7 percent.
