Talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz has called on toy collector Yexel Sebastian to address the grievances of individuals who claim to have fallen victim to an investment scam.
Diaz expressed his sympathy for those who allege they have lost substantial amounts of money and urged Yexel to respond to their concerns.
During a segment of his show, ‘Showbiz Update,’ Ogie Diaz emphasized the importance of Yexel understanding the predicament of the complainants, some of whom are overseas Filipino workers (OFWs). He stressed that these investors had worked hard for their money before entrusting it to the social media influencer.
Diaz called upon Yexel to engage with the investors seeking answers, as they are reportedly unsure about how to contact him or recover their invested funds.
“Sagutin niyo naman ‘yung mga investors niyo, kawawa naman. Hindi nila alam kung papaano kayo kokontakin at kung papaano nila makukuha ang kanilang in-invest,” said Ogie. “Syempre pinaghirapan pa rin natin ‘yung pera diyan kaya dapat maibalik.”
Diaz highlighted the significance of returning the money, given that it represented the fruits of their labor.
In a separate appearance on Raffy Tulfo’s program, Yexel Sebastian explained that the millions of pesos raised from investors had been directed toward a casino junket. He clarified that he was not the owner of the company involved in the investment.
However, the complainants argued that both Yexel and his partner, Mikee Agustin, had been the individuals with whom they had interacted, and the funds had been deposited into their bank account.
