Talent manager and content creator Ogie Diaz recently shared his thoughts on the popular teleserye ‘Linlang’ via his Instagram Stories.
Specifically, he commented on the appearances of Anji Salvacion and Kice in the series and questioned the subplot that revolves around their characters.
In his candid statement, Diaz suggested the possibility of removing the subplot concerning the budding romance between Anji and Kice, citing that the storyline appeared somewhat contrived.
“Sa ‘Linlang,’ di ba pwedeng syonggalin na yung subplot na nagkakagustuhan sina Anji at Kice? Medyo pilit eh.”
He observed that the two characters seemed to emerge in the series at moments when the suspense and tension were at their peak, yet their chemistry appeared lacking.
“Ang taas na ng kaba mo sa mga twists tapos bigla silang lalabas na parang wala namang chemistry o baka pwedeng sa ibang serye na lang sila magpakyut siguro.”
Mama Ogs spitting facts. Straight to the point talaga ang mga opinyon ni Mama Ogs. Kahit ako nao-awkward sa ganap nung dalawa. Sa bagay kahit nga wala silang gawin nabi-bwisit na lang ako sa kanila 😂 Chaaaar!#Linlang pic.twitter.com/kc2WgDDlIy

Diaz humorously quipped that perhaps they might be better suited for another show or storyline.
Ogie Diaz wrapped up his commentary by playfully acknowledging that he was offering his perspective and added, “Nagmamarunong, Ogie Diaz.”
It’s worth noting that Ogie Diaz is not the only one who has expressed concerns regarding the appearances of these two relatively new stars in ‘Linlang.’ Some viewers and netizens seem to share his sentiments.

However, it’s important to remember that both Kice and Anji are newcomers who initially gained recognition through ‘Idol Philippines,’ a talent competition show where they showcased their musical talents.
This venture into acting represents a new path for them. ABS-CBN’s management may have seen potential in these budding artists, which likely led to their inclusion in the ‘Linlang’ series.
The management may be giving them an opportunity to develop their acting skills and assess their compatibility within the show’s storyline dynamics. If it doesn’t work out as intended, necessary adjustments can be made.
