Veteran actress Nova Villa is set to remain a part of GMA Network’s long-running sitcom ‘Pepito Manaloto’ despite her involvement in an upcoming ABS-CBN teleserye.
Her talent manager, Van Soyosa, clarified that Nova Villa didn’t transfer to ABS-CBN but accepted the network’s offer after receiving GMA Network’s blessing.
As a freelancer, Nova Villa now has the flexibility to work with different networks. Although her exclusive contract with GMA Network ended several years ago, the network granted its blessing as long as her commitments to ‘Pepito Manaloto’ were not compromised.
Nova Villa expressed her joy at returning to ABS-CBN during a recent media conference for the upcoming series ‘Can’t Buy Me Love.’ She shared that the experience feels different, considering she spent 36 years with ABS-CBN before her brief stint with another network. Nova Villa is enthusiastic about her role in the new teleserye and is committed to giving her best performance.
Despite her new project with ABS-CBN, Nova Villa reassured fans that she will continue to be part of the ‘Pepito Manaloto’ cast. Her ability to work across different networks reflects the changing landscape of the entertainment industry, where artists increasingly have the freedom to collaborate with various networks.
Nova Villa has had a remarkable career, including starring in several ABS-CBN shows, most notably ‘Home Along Da Riles’ alongside the late King of Comedy, Dolphy. Now, with her participation in ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ she continues to make her mark on the industry.
