Veteran actress Nova Villa has returned to ABS-CBN with a role in ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ where she portrays the grandmother of the character Bingo, played by Donny Pangilinan.
During a press conference, Villa shared her appreciation for the opportunity to collaborate with ABS-CBN once more after her long-standing association with the network.
“I’m very happy to be back at ABS-CBN, talaga po, iba ‘yung feeling kasi 36 years ako sa ABS-CBN when I transferred to other stations and then andito po akong muli and napakaganda ng role na ibinigay nila sa akin,” Villa stated.
She expressed her commitment to delivering her best performance in the role of Nene, a typical Filipino grandmother who holds deep affection for her grandchildren.
“I’m trying my best talaga na magampanan ko nang mahusay and napakaganda po ng role na ‘yun sapagkat mga bida po ang kasama ko at ako ang kanilang lola. A typical Filipino lola na nagmamahal sa kanyang mga apo,” she added.
In ‘Can’t Buy Me Love,’ Villa takes on the character of Nene, Bingo’s grandmother, who grapples with deteriorating eyesight. Bingo is determined to find a solution to help restore his grandmother’s vision, but he encounters various obstacles along the way.
Villa’s return to ABS-CBN marks a significant moment in her illustrious career, as her last appearance on the network was in the TV series ‘Kokey @ Ako,’ where she portrayed Sor Aida Sanchez.
