“CAFarmer, CAFisher, Tayo ang Bida”, the two-part TV Special by the Philippine Statistics Authority, will explain everything one needs to know about the importance of 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF).
The first-part of the TV Special will air this Sunday, October 15, 2023 from 10am to 11am on PTV-4. It will also be shown via livestream on PTV-4’s Facebook Page and YouTube Channel.
This special broadcast promises an in-depth look into the vital role of data gathering in the agriculture and fisheries sector in the Philippines.
Niña will be joined in the episode by Philippine Statistics Authority’s Undersecretary, National Statistician and Civil Registrar General Claire Dennis Mapa, as he explains the importance of this data-gathering activity done only every 10 years, by virtue of Executive Order No. 352 s.1996, which aims to collect and compile basic information on the agricultural and fishery sectors in the country.
It also plays a critical role in policy-making, planning, and development, ultimately contributing to the betterment of our communities and the nation’s food security.
