On September 14, singer Moira Dela Torre recalled her unexpected adventures and achievements in Winnipeg, Canada.
At the media event for brand endorsement for ‘Maria Clara Sangria’ and ‘Maria Clara Virgin,’ which LionhearTV covered, Dela Torre discussed her opinions about the alcoholic brands’ slogan, ‘Everything Will Be Alright.’
“I think that is a faith line for all of us. I [think] none of us know [exactly] when it happens in the future. But we all choose to have faith anyway.
“I was in Canada with my band for my world tour in April [or] March. We were in five cities, and in those five cities, I– whenever I’m in a new [city] or a country, I usually know kung saan ako pupunta, kung may gusto akong makita, but for some reason, there was one city in Canada, that I didn’t really know what to expect and that was Winnipeg.”
She then detailed her unexpected adventures, such as seeing Polar Bear, the Northern Lights, and being the first Filipina act to perform at the Canada Life Center.
“So upon arriving at Winnipeg, I didn’t have any plans, so I just stayed at a hotel, but it was in Winnipeg that I got to be head-to-head with a Polar Bear with, and it was in Winnipeg that we saw the Northern Lights. And it was also in Winnipeg that we made history being the first Filipina to perform at the Canada Life Center.”
Her experience in Winnipeg, Canada, helped change her mindset about making plans and trusting God.
“And sharing with the audience there–[that] was one of our favorite performances ever, that [a lot] of times we have these questions and all these plans. But, we are [always] told just one step at a time, just one day at a time, but what happens when you don’t know what happens tomorrow?
“What happens when you don’t see the [next step.] And that’s when I realized that as long as God is with me–I’m good. Because, it didn’t really matter that I didn’t know what to expect in Winnipeg because it exceeded my expectations anyway.”
As for her brand deal, Dela Torre is the newest ambassador of the alcoholic beverages ‘Maria Clara Sangria’ and ‘Maria Clara Virgin.’
She also composed a heartfelt song, ‘Maria Clara,’ to further promote their campaign’s optimistic message of self-love despite the situation.
Dela Torre’s ‘Maria Clara’ is available for streaming on Spotify, while ‘Maria Clara Sangria’ and ‘Maria Clara Virgin’ are available in all major retail outlets.
