On September 14, Moira Dela Torre’s band revealed that she would have a three-hour-long speech whenever she got drunk.
At the media event for brand endorsement for ‘Maria Clara Sangria’ and ‘Maria Clara Virgin,’ which LionhearTV covered, Dela Torre’s bandmates disclosed that the Philippine singer would often have a litany of discourse about friendship.
“Nag-speech daw po ako. Nag=speech daw po ako tapos iniisa-isa ko daw po sila kung gaano ko sila ka-mahal.
“Na-se-senti po ako. About sa friendship po, ‘yung mga taong hindi umalis– na kaibigan.”
However, she also admitted that she’s a lightweight drinker, recounting how she got drunk with only three glasses of ‘Maria Clara Sangria.’
“Noong nag-Tiktok po ako for Maria Clara tapos nakatatlong glass po ako. Pagkatapos ko pong i-shoot ‘yun, nalasing po ako. Hindi pa po nalabas ‘yung Virgin nun.”
As for her showbiz drinking buddy, Dela Torre considered KZ Tandingan one of her best friends in the entertainment industry.
“Hindi ko po malilimutan ‘yun. Tapos nung nag-Milan po kami for ASAP siya po ulit ‘yung ka-roommate ko, inofferan nanaman po kami ng alak, tinignan na niya naman po ako ng masama. So ‘yun po, if there’s someone I would always want to drink with, it would be KZ Tandingan.”
As for her brand deal, Dela Torre is the newest ambassador of the alcoholic beverages ‘Maria Clara Sangria’ and ‘Maria Clara Virgin.’
She also composed a heartfelt song, ‘Maria Clara,’ to further promote their campaign’s optimistic message of self-love despite the situation.
