On October 15, Queen of the Universe Season 2 Contestant and Asia’s Rising Drag Singing Star Maxie (Maxie Andreison) seemingly got into a mike-throwing incident during one of her performances in O-Bar Philippines.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post, a netizen named Eli (@nerdy_boy11) posted a viral video of the rapper Cardi throwing her mike at an audience member after throwing their drinks at her.
Eli then connected the video to a ‘stunt’ performance by an unnamed drag performer from O-Bar Philippines emulating Cardi B’s mike-throw incident.

He then cited how the performance caused the netizen to discontinue his braces and have two teeth undergo root canal treatment.
He then continued, noting that they had already discussed the accident with a manager.
According to his last update about the issue, Eli awaits the management’s decision on whether they would shoulder his medical expenses.
Manager daw po ang nakakausap namin. And waiting na sa management decision if anong gagawin. Sorry if na tag ko si kuya as waiter. My bad and I’m sorry, kuya.

He also wanted to advise the unnamed drag performer about her performance and how it caused someone permanent damage.
Nakausap na namin head waiter since wala naman silang manager na gustong iharap na they will shoulder all the medical expenses and damages. Still waiting for their reply. Also, sana sabihin din nila sa Queen na may natamaan siya that caused permanent damage.

After this post, netizens sympathized with Eli’s encounter.
@Obarphilippines hindi nyo ba niri review ang act ng artists nyo prior ng actual performance to determine if it is safe or not? Shame on you owners for not so quick to claim accountability of the incident.

And yet the "Queen" RT'd your post & gave an apology. I hope she reaches out to you privately as well. Sana inaaral kasi repercussions if me masasaktan ba for you can't just say that this is an accident. It may not be their intention but this is no accident. Get well.

On the same day, the Queen of the Universe Season 2 Contestant Maxie took accountability and publicly apologized through her Twitter account regarding the incident.
Maxie then cited that O-Bar was already handling the incident.
Hello Eli
I'm the drag queen who performed that night. I apologize if you were hit by the fake prop. It was never my intention to hurt anyone.
Obar is coordinating na to help with this situation.
Thank you and sorry again. https://t.co/4yoqrj7R7f
