The dispute primarily revolved around rumors of her alleged involvement with basketball player Ricci Rivero. What began as a social media exchange quickly escalated as fans engaged in a confrontational dialogue.
In the comments section of Leren Mae’s Facebook account, fans lobbed various insults and criticisms at the councilor. The exchange took on a contentious tone, with Leren Mae responding in kind. The conversation went as follows:

Leren Mae: “Kesa mukang manok!”
