On October 15, Korean actor Lee Min Ho shared the secret to the longevity of his career.
At his fan meet event for SMDC, which LionhearTV covered, Min Ho attributed his longevity as a Korean actor to his ability to show his ‘true self’ with every project.
“I think the secret to my longevity is the ability, of course, for those [who are] waiting for me, and also, whenever I try to do a new project, I try and set a new separate goal or a specific objective that I want to achieve. But I always show my true self and do my best in these projects [too]–and I think that helps me a lot.”
One of his most memorable roles, especially for Filipino fans, was the Goo Joon Pyo in the 2009 K-drama ‘Boys Over Flowers.
He noted how much he appreciated the impact of his role in the beloved K-Drama on his career.
“There are still people who call me Goo Joon Pyo, and I am [very] surprised by this to think of it that Boys Over Flowers [was] aired 13-more years ago–it’s really amazing to see how a project that we worked on so long ago can continuously influence– be influential to other people. And also be remembered by other people.”
Min Ho then remarked that he would do his best with every project he gets, especially with the second season of Panchinko.
“That’s why– like what I said a while ago– for the next Season of Pachiko and my other dramas, my upcoming dramas, I always try my best to be able to create different projects that could also last for years and decades that people can remember.”
Min Ho’s other notable roles include ‘City Hunter,’ ‘The Heirs,’ ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea,’ and ‘The King: Eternal Monarch,’ which propelled him as a household name worldwide, including in the Philippines.
As for his latest endorsement, Min Ho joins SM Development Corporation (SMDC) on their newest campaign as their brand ambassador.
SMDC recently got the Best Developer Award in Southeast Asia by Dot Property Southeast Asia Awards 2022 and received excellence awards for their residential condominium development projects.
